Patrick Terminals can trace its origins back to 1919, when Captain James Patrick together with Mr. F.W. Radford established Patrick Steamship Co. Ltd and commenced shipping operations in Australia.

Patrick embarked on a major industrial reform of the Australian waterfront.

Company name changed to 'Patrick – the Australian Stevedore’ with the introduction of a new distinctive logo.

Patrick Stevedores entered the container terminal business in Brisbane and subsequently expands its container handling capability in key locations.

Patrick Stevedoring Co Pty Ltd was formed.
1953
Queensland Stevedoring was formed, a joint venture between James Patrick & Co Pty Ltd and Nixon Smith Shipping and Wool Dumping Co Pty Ltd.
1940
James Patrick and Company Pty Limited inaugurated the vessel agency and stevedoring services.
1925
The company was incorporated to become James Patrick & Company and began operating as both a shipping line and stevedore of it’s own vessels.
1919
The Patrick Steamship Co Ltd was registered by Captain James Patrick and Mr. F. W. Radford and started operating as a shipping service with the SS Timaru out of Sydney with calls along the East Coast of Australia.
